The position, a license to host your marriage or partnership ceremony, exclusive use, together with the finest Welsh cuisine for parties up to 120 guests within the building or up to 400 guests in a marquee, makes us a highly sought after and original venue for a dream wedding day.

If small and intimate is what you have in mind, our Skirrid suite, suitable for ceremonies with up to 35 guests, with double aspect windows is perfect; providing leafy views onto the terrace and lawns.

If your plans are on a more lavish scale, a marquee can be linked directly to the house and thus creating plenty of space for up to 400 guests to join you in celebrating your big day!

We can also ensure that the perfectly manicured lawns are kept free for your guests to explore and to enjoy the peace and surroundings of Llansantffraed. Marquees are designed on an entirely bespoke basis, to include style, content, fixtures, fittings and furnishings. Each and everybody’s tastes can be catered for.

For those of you wanting to hold your very special day mid-week ( Monday to Thursday, excluding Bank Holidays ) or indeed away from the summer months, we are delighted to offer a substantial reduction on our venue hire charges and on our civil marriage and partnership ceremony room hire fees.

Accommodation

Invite your closest friends and family to stay with you, as booked exclusively for you on your wedding night, all 21 en-suite bedrooms, tastefully and individually furnished and decorated. The majority of bedrooms come with views over our ornamental lake and lawns, or towards the beautiful mountains of the Brecon Beacons. Fluffy duvets, flat screen digital TVs, iPod docking stations, and direct dial telephones all come as standard. We also have a limited supply of z-beds and cots suitable for children.

The specially discounted rates of £90 for single rooms, £130 for double and twin rooms, and £160 for the four poster suite, come as part of your exclusive hire of the house on the day and night of your wedding. The rates include a very full Welsh breakfast complete with unlimited sparkling wine!

Looking to surprise the one you love on your special day? Let us organise a bouquet of roses, some pink champagne and candles to be lit ready for your arrival in the Bridal Suite.

For those guests wishing to stay an additional night at the hotel, either before or after, a substantially discounted four-course table d’hôte dinner, bed and full Welsh breakfast rate of £165 will apply, subject to availability and terms and conditions.

General info

If you have a more ‘outdoors’ theme for your day, and want to be able to ensure the use of our terrace and its magnificent views even when the Welsh weather is inclement, then we recommend providing a softly lit lean-to marquee enclosing the terrace.

From our resident DJ, bands and casinos to table magicians and caricaturists – your evening entertainment will guarantee a good time will be had by all.

Our secluded setting allows us to arrange a spectacular finale to your day’s celebrations. A surprise, professionally controlled firework display by the British National Firework Champions, to the beats of your favourite song, set off over the lake will ensure that your big day is one that nobody will ever forget!

Once you’ve been to visit the hotel and met with our Weddings Manager, and once you’ve fallen as in love with Llansantffraed as we are, you’ll need to start the steps towards booking and confirming your wedding date…

A provisional booking can be made for one date, for up to 14 days – giving you plenty of time to book Churches or Registrars and to invite friends and family to confirm your fantastic choice of wedding venue.
